What is God’s Quality of Life?

untitled.IIBy Stewart Topping

2 Co 1:12 for our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

When we examine this portion of scripture we come away understanding what Paul was saying that the testimony of his/our Conscience is Godly not fleshy and by the Grace of God.  We see that we can be guided by our new purged conscience.

Eph 2:8-10 for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

From the beginning God had planned for us to walk in faith. After the creation of man and fall. God set in motion the Covenants. The first was the Covenant with Abraham, which was to demonstrate the weakness in the ability of the flesh to make right decisions.

Gen 17:13 he that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, needs to be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

The first Covenant was a way to teach man he could not do it on his own.

Gal 3:24 wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

The second Covenant was a better Covenant since it includes the Spirit of God, The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

Heb 8:13 In that he said, a new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayed and waxed old is ready to vanish away.

Jesus has shed His blood to set us free and has purged our conscience, which gives us the ability to make right choices.

Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God; purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

You can have confidence that if you are Born Again from above and have the Holy Spirit indwelling you, then you can trust your conscience to be your Guide. It is God’s Quality of Life in you.

We need to learn how to react to God’s Holy Spirit in us by using our purged conscience

Do you really want Rest?

The battle has always been over the flesh and the spirit. We have a choice to follow satan’s way which is by yourself or, God’s way, by his spirit.  We have a choice: By the ability of the spirit, God’s quality of life or satans way. Remember Lucifer fell because of pride and led a revolt again God: he has infected the human race with: you don’t need God, you can do it yourself, the Tree of knowledge, human knowledge, Good and Evil.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. It is over life or death.

He succeeded with Adam but failed with Jesus (the second Adam) in the wilderness. What did Jesus say: it is written? In conclusion: Jesus said he would follow Gods word not satans.

Mat 4:9-10 and said unto him, all these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.   Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve.

In the book of Hebrews 4:1-11; God is saying that there is a rest, a rest from self and a way to trust God with your life. Works which we must cease from in the Bible has always been attributed to the flesh, the ability of the flesh to get things done.  Having Gods spirit allows us to be righteous before Him because Jesus took the Law, the way of flesh to the cross died with Jesus. The Law came to an end when Jesus Died.

Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Heb 4:10 for he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Remember that in the Bible; the law is the control of the flesh (or attempt), it shows that it can’t be done.  The law was a curse to them that tried.

Gal_3:10 for as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continued not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Gal_3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hanged on a tree:

The curse is the law and Jesus died for the Law, being made the curse and dying and shedding his blood for the final sacrifice. The Law came to an end and died with Jesus’ death. He finished the requirements of the Law, the final sacrifice. The veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, signify that there was no more separation between man and God. We have direct access to God by way of the Holy Spirit.

Heb 4:1-11 tell a story of the Jewish people leaving Egypt being led by Moses to the land of Canaan, Gods promise lands, a land of rest, where the people could trust God for everything.  But they refused to enter Canaan and trust God and decided to trust themselves and ended up staying in the wilderness for 40 years. When all the people who were infected with self, Egypt, the world, and aligned with satan’s system were dead, then the new generation born in the wilderness with God’s help and a new generation who now trusted God would enter into Gods rest. (Canaan)

The type and shadow for us today is resting in Gods promises by way of Jesus and the receiving and relying on the Holy Spirit for Gods life, God’s quality of live. God has provided the tree of life in Jesus.  We can be led by the spirit, walk in the spirit and trust God (faith) with our life. Look around and see what satan has created for Adam when he choose the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil

1Co 15:1-4  I declare unto you the gospelBy which also ye are saved – Christ died for our sinshe was buried he rose again the third day

Why is this important?

  1. You believe in the end of the Law, which did not work, and Jesus paid for the completion of it. His final word: it is finished (John17:4)
  2. You believe in the resurrected power of God to indwell you.
  3. You believe in the Holy Spirit to help you in all things in life, not self to make things happen.
  4. You believe that the truth will set you free.
  5. You believe that you have God’s quality of life.
  6. You believe that God loves you.
  7. You believe that God has always had a plan for your life and want a relationship with you to share it.
  8. You believe that having God Spirit makes you righteousness with God.
  9. You believe that satan cannot attack you anymore.
  10. You believe that now must make choices with Gods direction.

Now Rest in The Finished Work, the end of the Law and the beginning of Grace, your sins are forgiven. You are righteous before God and you have been redeemed.  Understand that Eph 2:8-9 is a gift from God! a Free gift paid 2000 yrs ago.

Which Tree Will You Choice?

untitled.IIBy Stewart Topping

Yesterday I watched the movie’s Exodus and Noah. I was told they were Biblical movies. That was far from the truth, they did not
reflect the  story of Moses nor Noah as the bible tells it.  It’s similar to the problem we now have in our society today.  Christians are told what to believe  from people who do not know the word of God because they are not students of the Bible (word) or they would understand the problem with  the Christian message being delivered.

2Ti 2:15-16 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

The Movie Exodus and Noah are to distract the Christian Community to be in self mode not being led by God’s Holy Spirit. Some people today believe Gods wants us to do it ourselves and that is satan’s lie. It did show how man has messed up the world and blamed God for not fixing it.  It watered down Gods love and plan of redemption from Egypt.  This story is similar, a type and shadow, of the plan of our salvation which also has been distorted.  We have been delivered from slavery from the flesh caused by the fall of Adam by him choosing the wrong tree to eat from.

Today there are thousands of denominations of Christian church’s that confuse the simple gospel of salvation. You do not have to work for your salvation; God has a gift for you that is free, the price has already been paid.

Eph 2:7-9 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We need to understand that God has a plan called redemption to set us free.  For you and I are free because Jesus paid the price to buy us out of slavery.  Our freedom only requirement is to belief (faith) in Jesus. There is no work required. It has been done, just believe it. He allowed us to receive the Holy Spirit, God’s nature, to help and guide us through life.

God loves us so much that He provided a way out of slavery.  Slavery is putting trust in ourselves and not expecting God to do anything, and only wanting Him to clean up the mess. Adam fell for satan’s lies in the garden, why should we continue to believe him now.

There were two trees in the garden?   One is God’s way, the tree of life; the other is satan’s way, the tree of good and evil. Today Jesus is our tree of life. We must overcome self to receive Jesus

Rev_2:7 he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; to him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Matt 16:24 then said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

The message is simple but you must deny your flesh to accept Jesus who died on the cross and receive the power of the Holy Spirit for a new life, one with God. One very important point, your salvation has already been paid for over 2000 years ago.

You only have to believe in what Jesus has done not in what you can do for your salvation.
